When I first started working in sound it was at an Independent Film company in Hollywood, I learned all kinds of Post Production sound, from assisting Dialogue and EFX & Foley to Sound Editor, Sound Supervisor and FX & ADR Mixer. I settled into Editorial and was proud that I, a girl, could hear the difference between a .22, .45 and a rifle gunshot sound.
I've been working in TV Post Production for several years now and I have 21 Golden Reel nominations with 4 wins, and 8 Emmy nominations with 1 win. The pressure in Post Production can be intense, due to schedule demands but I have a good attitude and am interested in what each show is about. The work can be challenging but it's always a bit of an adventure.
